Word Scribble

Esta semana nuestros/as alumnos/as de 1A han realizado una actividad denominada "Word Scribble", algo así como garabato de palabras, como forma alternativa para practicar el vocabulario trabajo en la unidad. En esta actividad tan visual nuestros alumnos/as han dibujado un garabato y han rellenando los espacios en blanco con palabras de vocabulario con los que crean patrones de palabras y colores. En esta unidad estamos trabajando con verbos que tienen que ver con logros: donate, help, change, discover, invent...

Erasmus 2019-20. The Flipped Classroom

Una de las movilidades de nuestro proyecto de Erasmus 2019-2020 "Buscando la inspiración y motivación para conseguir una escuela inclusiva a través de la formación internacional" fue realizada por nuestra compañera Rocío González, profesora bilingüe de EPAV en República Checa del 21 al 25 de octubre. Aquí tenéis la presentación que ha realizado como parte de la formación del equipo educativo del IES Sierra Morena. Además de introducirnos a la innovativa metodología del Aula Invertida, nos ha mostrado tutoriales de herramientas digitales que podemos implementar en nuestras clases para motivar e integrar a nuestro alumnado. 

También tuvimos la oportunidad de disfrutar de momentos de consciencia, de tranquilidad y paz mental a través de una sesión de yoga, meditación y mindfulness en grupo de trabajo. Una actividad práctica que nos ayuda a introducir elementos positivos en nuestro trabajo como docentes a través del ensayo mental y emocional, así como a salir de estados de ánimo que pueden implicar estrés.

Origami and kirigami in Art class

In Art class, our 1 ESO students were able to learn the difference between origami and kirigami, two traditional Japanese art forms which are famous all over the world. Origami consists of folding paper and nothing else – no cutting, gluing or marking, whereas Kirigami involves folding and cutting, but glue is allowed too. 

Our Art teacher, Rocio and our language assistant, Sara, shared a presentation with students which included information on how to create volume making origami figures and pop up cards, examples and videos of both art forms and some vocabulary related to this art. Students were able to see how to fold paper in order to make a butterfly and an origami dog, and then they were finally able to create their own origami or kirigami. More on digital tools: Multimedia posters

There are great online poster makers and graphic design tools to make multimedia posters. These  interactive graphics are a good visual way to help students consolidate their learning, synthesize information as well as to demonstrate and present learning. This time our 3 ESO students created a poster with an itinerary for a trip to another country using the future tenses (will and be going to for planned activities) and the vocabulary we had covered in the unit.  They used the internet to gather information about their destination.

Some of the tools used were Glogster and Canva.

Reciclando con creatividad

El alumnado de 1° y 2°  de ESO, en la asignatura de educación plástica, visual y audiovisual, ha trabajado el diseño de objetos de consumo a partir de material que han encontrado en casa durante el periodo de confinamiento. Los objetos diseñados debían ser funcionales además de mantener una cuidada estética y originalidad.
