Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, Oh My!

What do all these names have in common??

1)    They are days of the week

2)    They are about CHRISTMAS SHOPPING! $$$

3)    They are the days after Thanksgiving

Black Friday, or Viernes Negro, is the most popular day for shopping after Thanksgiving. Culturally it is seen as the first day of Christmas shopping for many Americans.

However, this day is not all cheer and happiness for the holidays. Black Friday has become an infamous day for crazy shoppers and people sleeping outside stores waiting for the opening. There are fights in malls, injury to shoppers, and sadly, sometimes death. All for just a sale. No TV is worth the pain, no matter how big the discount.

More recently, Small Business Saturday has become popular, promoting buying goods and services from family businesses. This is a good way to support small businesses and keep the economy more fair. The best part, what you buy is usually made with love and care!

Cyber Monday is a day of online sales. This day is becoming more and more popular with time! And since the start of the covid-19 pandemic, most people are buying their goods, gifts, and even groceries online, more than ever before!

Cyber Monday can be big corporations, small businesses and anyone in between!
